Minimum Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, IT, or related fields

10+ years of overall experience with at least 5 years of leading teams delivering data lakes, data warehouses, data lakehouse

Data Engineering skills:

Proven experience managing large-scale cloud data platform implementations, preferably on Oracle Cloud

Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture, cloud integration patterns, and banking systems.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Experience with hybrid cloud environments (Oracle Cloud, Azure, on-premises).
-
Communication skills to be able to explain the technical scenarios to senior IT and business stakeholders.

Experience in agile way of working.
Accountability
As a Data Lake Engineering AVP, you will be required to:
Program Leadership & Planning

Own and drive the full lifecycle of the Oracle Cloud Data Platform implementation.

Define and finalize the platform architecture in collaboration with Oracle Professional Services and internal stakeholders.

Develop detailed project plans, milestones, and delivery timelines; track progress to closure.
Stakeholder Engagement
-
Act as the primary liaison between Oracle Professional Services and internal teams.
-
Coordinate closely with the enterprise core banking implementation team to ensure seamless data integration from banking systems into the Oracle Data Platform.

Facilitate cross-functional alignment across data engineering, infrastructure, and business units.
Data Integration & Flow Management

Oversee the ingestion of data from Oracle-based core banking services into the Oracle Cloud Data Platform.

Ensure robust data pipelines are established to deliver data from the Oracle Cloud platform to downstream systems hosted on-premises and in Azure Cloud.
Governance & Quality Assurance
-
Monitor implementation quality, adherence to architectural standards, and compliance with enterprise data governance policies.

Identify risks and mitigation strategies throughout the rollout process
