The
GEMS Westminster School
seeks a highly skilled and dedicated Data Officer to join the team in December 2025. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and management in the areas of Data, Assessment, and MIS, driving the effective use of data to enhance teaching, learning, and overall school performance.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the school’s data management systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and security of information.

Collect, input, and update student and staff data in a timely and efficient manner.

Analyse educational data to generate insights that support improved student outcomes and informed school-wide decision-making.

Produce reports, data sets, and dashboards for senior leaders, teachers, and external stakeholders.

Oversee the administration and management of school assessments, ensuring integrity and accuracy in recording and reporting.

Collaborate with the IT team to resolve data-related issues and assist in implementing new systems and tools.

Ensure full compliance with data protection and confidentiality regulations.

Provide specialist expertise in the use of Management Information Systems (MIS) and assessment platforms.

Support the admissions process and maintain accurate records for enrolments, withdrawals, and transitions between academic years.

Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and contribute to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Be available during summer periods to support results analysis and data reporting cycles.
Skills

Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in MIS software, spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets), and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI/Google Looker Studio).

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines.

Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

Experience in using and managing a Management Information System (MIS) within a school environment.

Previous experience as a Data Officer in a school is desirable.
