Job Description – Data Officer (with Manufacturing Experience)


1. Basic Information

  • Position Title : Data Officer
  • Department : Administration / HR / Production Support (depending on allocation)
  • Reporting to : Department Manager (HR/Admin/Production)
  • Location : Chinese-invested Factory in Saudi Arabia


2. Position Objective

Collect, process, and analyze factory operational data (production, HR, finance, compliance, etc.) to support decision-making. Ensure accuracy of records, timely reporting, and compliance with both corporate and Saudi regulatory requirements.


3. Key Responsibilities

3.1 Data Collection & Entry

  • Gather daily, weekly, and monthly data from production, HR, warehouse, and finance departments.
  • Maintain accurate data records in Excel, SAP, or other ERP systems.
  • Ensure data integrity and traceability.

3.2 Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare production efficiency, manpower, and cost analysis reports.
  • Support HR reports (headcount, Saudization ratio, attendance, turnover).
  • Generate compliance reports for WPS, GOSI, CCHI, and government submissions.
  • Provide dashboards and KPIs to management and HQ.

3.3 System & Process Support

  • Work with ERP/SAP or factory management systems for data input and validation.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives for data automation.
  • Monitor data discrepancies and propose corrective measures.

3.4 Cross-Department Coordination

  • Act as a data focal point, consolidating information across production, logistics, finance, HR, and quality.
  • Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis for management decisions.

3.5 Compliance & Confidentiality

  • Ensure reports and records comply with company policies and Saudi regulations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive company and employee data.


4. Requirements

4.1 Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.

4.2 Experience

  • Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in data management or reporting role.
  • Must have experience working in a factory or industrial environment.
  • Experience with ERP/SAP or similar systems preferred.

4.3 Skills

  • Strong MS Excel and data visualization skills (pivot tables, charts, dashboards).
  • Knowledge of SAP, Power BI, or other data analysis tools is an advantage.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Communication skills in English; Chinese/Arabic is a plus.

  2. Timeliness of data submission.
  3. Data error correction rate.
  4. Management satisfaction with reporting support.
  5. Contribution to data-driven improvements.
