Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled
Data Operations & Support Specialist
to oversee the day-to-day management of data processes and ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of data systems. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, a solid understanding of operational support workflows, and experience in monitoring and troubleshooting database and batch processing environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage daily data loads, ETL jobs, and scheduled batch processes to ensure timely and successful execution.

Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot data-related issues and system errors, coordinating with technical teams to ensure swift resolution.

Ensure data availability, integrity, and quality to support business reporting and analytics needs.

Maintain and improve operational runbooks, document procedures, and standard operating processes for data support activities.

Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and infrastructure teams to escalate and resolve complex incidents.

Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes, ensuring proper tracking and communication of issues and enhancements.

Assist in performance tuning of database queries and job optimization for improved system efficiency.
Requirements
Technical Skills & Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, validation, and issue investigation.

Experience with database performance monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Autosys, Cron, Airflow) and ETL workflows.

Understanding of incident, problem, and change management frameworks (e.g., ITIL practices).

Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Shell, Python) is a plus.

Exposure to cloud data environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in data operations, technical support, or database administration.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
