Data Privacy Assistant

1. Job Objective

Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Bank’s data privacy framework, ensuring compliance with Qatar Personal Data Privacy Law and other applicable regulations, while promoting a strong culture of data privacy across the organization.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Support the DPO in maintaining data privacy policies, procedures, and programs
• Conduct data inventory and mapping of personal data processing activities
• Assist in Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA/DPIA) for projects and systems
• Monitor compliance across departments and third-party vendors
• Handle Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) within required timelines
• Support investigation and documentation of data breaches
• Maintain privacy records (data registers, consent logs, processing records)
• Deliver and support employee privacy awareness and training initiatives
• Collaborate with IT Security, Risk, and Legal teams on data protection matters
• Support internal/external audits and regulatory assessments
• Liaise with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders
• Track privacy KPIs and support reporting activities
• Ensure vendor and cloud compliance, including DPAs
• Assist in integrating privacy into risk management processes
• Draft internal communications in Arabic and English

3. Qualifications & Experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Compliance, or related field
• Relevant data privacy certifications are a plus

Experience:

• 3–5 years in data privacy, compliance, cybersecurity, or risk
• Experience in banking or regulated environments preferred
• Knowledge of cloud and third-party data protection practices

Preferred Certifications:

• CIPP/E, CIPM (IAPP)
• CDPSE, CISM, or CRISC (ISACA)

4. Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of data protection laws (Qatar Law No. 13 of 2016, GDPR)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and coordination skills
• Excellent communication (written and verbal)
• High attention to detail and confidentiality awareness

• Must hold a valid Qatar ID (QID)
