Data Privacy Officer

Purpose:
Safeguard user data (names, religious preferences, payments, astrology info) and ensure Punyakar complies with data protection laws (like Indian DPDP Act, GDPR for global users).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enforce data protection policies and best practices across the platform.
• Ensure compliance with privacy laws (DPDP 2023, GDPR, IT Act).
• Monitor how customer data is collected, stored, processed, and shared.
• Handle user data requests (access, correction, deletion).
• Conduct data privacy impact assessments for new services (e.g., live darshan streaming).
• Provide training to employees on data handling and privacy practices.
• Be the point of contact with regulators in case of audits or breaches.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Background in law, IT, or data protection.
• Certifications like CIPP/E, CIPM, or DCPP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations (India & global).
• Ability to manage cross-functional compliance programs.
