Why We Need You

We are building one of the region’s most extensive sovereign data ecosystems, including an off-the-shelf data library of high-value, multi-domain datasets. As a Data Procurement Manager, your mission is to identify, evaluate, negotiate, and secure private, high-quality datasets, spanning robotics, Arabic text, audio, OCR, video, and multimodal domains, that can power AI model training, internal research, and data commercialization initiatives.

Your work will directly contribute to CNTXT AI’s proprietary dataset portfolio, expanding our internal data assets for use across model development, enterprise projects, and resale opportunities. This role is essential to building CNTXT AI’s long-term data advantage and commercialization pipeline.

Experience Level

• 5-7+ years of experience in data procurement, sourcing, or licensing, ideally within AI, data, or technology sectors

What You Will Do

Dataset Sourcing & Acquisition

• Identify and procure private, high-value datasets across text, audio, video, robotics, OCR, and any new areas of interest.
• Build and manage a network of global and regional dataset providers, universities, and government data sources.
• Lead research to identify emerging and Arabic-focused datasets not publicly available for scraping.
• Evaluate dataset quality, technical suitability, and licensing flexibility for both model training and CNTXT AI’s off-the-shelf data library.

Partnership & Vendor Management

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with dataset owners, licensors, and content providers.
• Oversee vendor performance and ensure adherence to quality, cost, and compliance standards.

Data Evaluation & Quality Control

• Define standards for dataset completeness, metadata integrity, and usability across modalities.
• Work with internal engineering and data science teams to test and validate datasets for model performance and reusability.
• Maintain robust documentation and quality review frameworks for all procured datasets.

Legal, Compliance & Ethical Governance

• Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to international and regional data regulations (GDPR, PDPL, etc.).
• Maintain transparent sourcing practices and ensure all acquisitions align with CNTXT AI’s ethical data policies.
• Conduct due diligence on dataset provenance and supplier legitimacy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with R&D, Product, and Engineering teams to align procurement with current and future data needs.
• Collaborate with leadership to prioritize acquisitions that maximize ROI across training, research, and commercialization.
• Provide visibility into available datasets, licensing terms, and cost implications to inform product planning and go-to-market strategies.

Data Procurement Strategy & Reporting

• Develop and execute CNTXT AI’s Data Procurement and Library Strategy, ensuring consistent pipeline growth and diversification.
• Manage the full lifecycle of dataset acquisition, from discovery to integration into CNTXT AI’s internal data infrastructure.
• Track ROI on acquisitions across internal use cases and external monetization opportunities.

Success Metrics (owned or co-owned)

• Volume, quality, and diversity of datasets procured.
• Growth of CNTXT AI’s proprietary off-the-shelf data library.
• Cost efficiency on dataset acquisitions.
• Vendor and partnership performance.

Who You Are

• 5-7+ years of experience in data procurement, sourcing, or licensing, ideally within AI, data, or technology sectors.
• Deep understanding of AI data modalities (text, audio, video, robotics, image, OCR).
• Proven record of negotiating and managing complex data licensing agreements.
• Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and intellectual property frameworks.
• Strategic thinker capable of balancing technical, commercial, and legal considerations.
• Strong communicator who can engage confidently with dataset owners, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage.
• Passionate about building ethical, sovereign data ecosystems for AI innovation and commercialization.
• Previous experience working with leading global or regional AI companies.
