QUALIFICATIONS:

• 4–7+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in BI roles; retail domain knowledge is a plus,
• Proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, MicroStrategy, Qlik) and understanding of semantic models; SQL literacy,
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric/Power BI, SAP S/4HANA/Datasphere integrations,
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence,
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and prioritization skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP),
• Knowledge of BI visualization tools and advanced analytics platforms,
• Exposure to machine learning, AI-driven products, and predictive analytics.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Data Product Owner is responsible for driving the strategy, development, and optimization of data products that empower business decision-making and innovation. This role bridges business needs and technical capabilities, ensuring that data products deliver measurable value. The Senior Data Product Owner works closely with stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and business leaders to define vision, prioritize initiatives, and maximize the impact of data assets.

Product Ownership & Strategy

• Define and communicate the vision, roadmap, and strategy for data products aligned with business objectives.
• Translate business needs into actionable product requirements and user stories.
• Prioritize backlog items based on business value, feasibility, and dependencies.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with business leaders, analysts, and data consumers to gather requirements and feedback.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all data product-related discussions.
• Manage expectations and communicate progress to stakeholders at all levels.

Execution & Delivery

• Work closely with data engineering and data science teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of data solutions.
• Ensure that data products are scalable, secure, and meet compliance requirements.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.

Data Governance & Quality

• Advocate for and enforce data governance, security, and privacy standards.
• Ensure that data products provide accurate, reliable, and trusted insights.
