Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Protection & Microsoft Purview Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role will focus on assessing, optimizing, and supporting Microsoft Purview implementations, with an emphasis on data protection, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Candidates must be local to Denver, CO or Minneapolis, MN.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data protection, data security, or cloud security
• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Purview, including:
  • Information Protection
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • Sensitive Information Types (SITs)
  • eDiscovery
  • Insider Risk Management
• Solid understanding of Microsoft E5 Security & Compliance
• Experience evaluating and/or implementing data protection tools
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with labeling taxonomy redesign
• Background working in compliance-driven environments
