The Data Quality Analyst & OASIS Trainer is responsible for implementing Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes on Vital Statistics and other data; responding to and validation of custom data requests; and providing technical assistance on OASIS (http://oasis.state.ga.us). This position is within the Division of Epidemiology, Office of Health Indicators for Planning (OHIP).

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand and maintain scripts to process data and create reports.
  • Apply and enforce data standards to data.
  • Maintain and update reporting and ODS databases.
  • Produce data quality reports and fix data quality issues.
  • Conduct OASIS trainings as requested.
  • Assist customers with queries and data questions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Public Health or Related Field.
  • 5 years experience with SQL, SQL Server, R programming language.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of related experience; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level IT Business Analyst 3 (ITP062) or position equivalent.

DPH accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) as valid. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degrees, diplomas, licensures, and other relevant credentials.
