Data Science Intern

The data science intern will support a focused, project-based initiative. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply data science and analytics in support of a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving and enhancing lives through organ and tissue donation. This position will lead or significantly contribute to a defined data science project from problem framing through solution delivery.

• Acquire, clean, and prepare structured and/or unstructured data from multiple sources.

• Design, build, and evaluate machine learning or statistical models to address challenges

• Write efficient queries and code to support data extraction and analysis

• Deliver a final project summary, including methodology, results, and recommended next steps

Qualifications & Skills

• Current collgiate student or recent graduate within the last 2 years. Study focus within Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field

• Experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation, required.

• Foundational knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling techniques

• Experience with Python or similar programming languages, preferred.

• $24.50/hour

• Non-exempt (eligible for overtime)
