Job Purpose:
The Data Scientist will be responsible for transforming raw and legacy data into structured, accurate, and dashboard-ready datasets. The role focuses on migrating old data into new systems, cleaning and standardizing datasets, and enabling high-quality analytics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:

Transform and restructure large datasets from legacy systems into new standardized formats.

Clean, validate, and harmonize historical data to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Build automated data pipelines for continuous data updates and system integration.

Translate raw and unorganized data into readable, analytics-ready datasets.

Develop interactive dashboards and reports (Power BI or similar).

Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and propose improvement solutions.

Collaborate with technical and business teams during data migration or system upgrades.

Document data mapping, transformation logic, and maintain version control.

Build scripts/tools to automate data extraction, mapping, and transformation processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

2–3 years of experience in data transformation, ETL, or system migration.

Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and dashboard creation.

Proficiency in SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data cleaning and restructuring.

Strong understanding of data modeling, data mapping, and data quality management.

Ability to simplify complex datasets and make them business-ready.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred:

Experience migrating data from legacy systems to modern platforms.

Experience building automated ETL pipelines.

Experience working with large-scale datasets in government or enterprise environments.
