We are looking for a passionate, talented “Data Scientist” to join our Big Data & AI Team. As a data scientist, you will be responsible to provide actionable business insights that will drive revenue, reduce cost, lead automotive data journey and improve customer experience. You will be working with a community of colleagues across technology and business functions.


Location is based on Sancaktepe/İstanbul with hybrid working model.


Description:

The Data Scientist understands the business need/requirement and supports decision making with data science and statistical analysis, using wide ranges of data available to them. Working with the business owners the Data Scientist ensures business questions are answered through the interpretation of data and provision of analytical models. Typically reports to the Chapter Lead.

Your Place in the team:

• Building machine learning models for Ford Otosan’s manufacturing and automotive challenges

• Bringing and investigating data from different systems, structured and unstructured, both batch and real time, to discover hidden relationships, correlation and useful informations

• Converting complex datasets into key strategy insight and powerful capabilities to the business

• Identifying new data sources and evaluate emerging technologies for data discovery usage

• Presenting the results to technical and non-technical audiences

• Identifying new analytics trends and opportunities to drive the innovation agenda across Ford Otosan


We are looking for you if you have:

• BSC/MSC/Ph.D. degree in quantitative fields like Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering or Industrial Engineering (MSc or Ph.D. in Machine Learning is preferred)

• Minimum 2 years experience in developing, implementing and maintaining Machine Learning /AI models and Optimization Algorithms

• Familiar with the Big Data Analytics landscape and related technologies, especially Hadoop, HDFS, Hive/Impala, Spark (PySpark), Kafka

• Very good SQL knowledge

• Hands-on experience with coding using Python and experience in Python Data Analysis libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn and PySpark

• Being worked with at least some of the data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI or Python’s matplotlib

• Being worked with Predictive Maintenance models, Clustering/Propensity models and Optimization Algorithms

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical results to non-technical audiences

• Curiosity, creativity, and an empirical mindset

• Being detail-oriented
