Data Scientist

Job Purpose:

To drive the next phase of data-driven decision making, operational efficiency, and process improvement by translating business needs into practical technical solutions that strengthen business performance across Transmar.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Build and maintain automated workflows, data pipelines, and integrations between different data stores.

Develop predictive and prescriptive models that forecast key business metrics and support strategic decisions.

Test, debug, and optimize solutions before and after deployment

Build dashboards and monitoring tools to track and forecast operational performance.

Work with business units to gather requirements and translate them into technical workflows and product maps.

Document technical logic and solution architecture and prepare user guides for user-facing solutions.

Monitor post-deployment solution health, stability, accuracy, and uptime and deploy proactive measures for safety.

Track Business KPIs to identify operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities proactively.

Collaborate with the Business Excellence team to support technical solution architecture, process mapping, and time studies.

Accountability:

Accountable for the quality, reliability, and efficiency of technical solutions.

Must take reasonable measures to ensure scalability and minimize future overhead within technical solutions.

Responsible for accurate and up-to-date documentation of deployed solutions.

Requirements:

Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer or Software Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics

OR Extensive practical background in applied data science

1-3 years in data science, software development, or cloud solutions architecture.

Must have experience with data transformation and developing analytical dashboards.

Must have used Python or SQL (ideally both) in a practical context.
