Salary Range $120K -140K
The salary range for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, qualifications, skill level, and location. The final salary offer will fall within this range and will be commensurate with the candidate’s background and the specific demands of the role.

Responsibilities:
This role focuses on applying advanced data science, machine learning, and autonomous/agent-based reasoning techniques to solve complex, mission‑critical problems. The Data Scientist will work closely with stakeholders, engineers, and product teams to translate operational needs into scalable, production‑ready AI capabilities within an ontology‑driven ecosystem.
The duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Independently apply knowledge and expertise to various project and program initiatives; investigate, analyze, plan, design, implement, or evaluate solutions for the project efforts.
- Provide expert-level issue resolution and recommendation support to achieve mission goals.

Conduct in-depth data analysis to extract actionable insights.

Possess strong problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.

Develop and maintain data pipelines, transforming raw data into usable formats.

Clean and preprocess data to ensure data quality and consistency.

Design, develop, and operationalize agentic AI workflows (e.g., autonomous agents, multi‑step reasoning pipelines, human‑in‑the‑loop decision systems)
- Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and analytical models using Foundry tools, Python, and SQL to convert raw data into actionable insights
- Develop, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning and AI models, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning approaches, as appropriate to mission needs [

Leverage Foundry’s Ontology, Actions, and operational workflows to embed AI and agentic logic directly into business and mission processes
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data science/artificial intelligence (AI) trends and technologies.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment with ability to support onsite work (up to 40%) and travel out of state as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a STEM field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Life Sciences, Engineering) and two (2) years of experience related to Data Science.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field can be substituted for Master’s degree with additional three (3) ears of experience in data science or a related role.

Proficient utilizing tools, techniques, and scientific computing libraries (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Python, ) to build predictive models and perform statistical analysis.

Experience working with data integration technologies leveraging Application Program Interfaces (APIs) (e.g., RESTful, etc.) to access external data sources.

Palantir Foundry Bootcamp or similar certifcations.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working with Palantir Foundry, including pipelines, transformations, ontology‑based applications, or Workshop‑style operational solutions
- Experience with LLM evaluation methods (automated scoring, human review pipelines, hallucination mitigation, safety testing).

Experience with MLOps tooling and patterns (model registries, feature stores, drift detection, experiment tracking).
