Senior Data Scientist

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to drive strategic insights and enable data‑informed decision‑making through advanced analytics. In this role, you will partner closely with cross‑functional teams to tackle complex, ambiguous business challenges and translate data into clear, actionable recommendations.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in analytics and strategy, strong business acumen, and hands‑on experience with SQL, Python or R, and data visualization tools. You will leverage statistical and machine learning techniques, craft compelling data narratives, and influence stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross‑functional teams to frame ambiguous business problems and develop end‑to‑end analytical solutions.
• Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to uncover insights and drive strategic recommendations.
• Conduct full‑stack analytics using SQL, Python or R, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
• Present findings and data stories through clear, compelling narratives tailored to diverse audiences.
• Serve as a strategic thought partner, influencing decisions without formal authority.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years in an analytics and strategy‑focused role.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to think both strategically and operationally.
• Self‑starter mentality with high accountability and energy.
• Proven track record providing actionable insights to cross‑functional teams.
• Expertise with SQL, R or Python , and data visualization tools such as Tableau .
• Experience applying statistical and machine learning methods.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or Applied Social Sciences .

Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications

• Ability to navigate ambiguous, complex problems and translate analysis into clear, actionable insights.
• Experience leading organization‑wide strategic initiatives or transformative analytics projects.
• Master’s degree in a related field (Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or Applied Social Sciences).
• Experience driving high‑impact analytics work in fintech or payments .

Compensation: $55-$60/hour
