Location: Chennai, India

Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days/week from office)

Your Role


We are seeking a data-driven and analytical Data Scientist / Analyst to join our Digital Twin of Ships team. This role is ideal for someone with strong modeling and analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex vessel behavior, assessing fleet health, and supporting sustainability initiatives through data. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to derive actionable insights from large-scale maritime datasets.


In this role, you will:


  • Model vessel behavior using historical and real-time data to support predictive analytics.
  • Analyze fleet health metrics to identify patterns, anomalies, and maintenance needs.
  • Develop and track sustainability metrics aligned with organizational goals.
  • Apply machine learning techniques for predictive maintenance and anomaly detection.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate insights into digital twin features.
  • Use AWS services such as SageMaker and Athena for scalable data processing and analysis.
  • Communicate findings through dashboards, reports, and presentations to stakeholders.


Your Profile


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
  • 12–17 years of experience in data science or analytics roles, with 10–12 years in engineering-focused domains.
  • Proven experience in Digital Twin technologies, preferably in maritime or industrial sectors.
  • Proficiency in programming and data analysis tools: Python, R, SQL.
  • Experience with machine learning techniques including predictive maintenance and anomaly detection.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services: SageMaker, Athena.
  • Familiarity with sustainability metrics modeling and environmental data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in agile teams and present insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
