Role Overview:

We are looking for a Data Scientist + Instructor (AI/ML) to join our academic-technology team at Rishihood University (Sonipat). This role blends hands-on AI/ML expertise with academic mentorship, ideal for professionals who have made a mark in the data science industry and are passionate about shaping the next generation of AI talent.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Applied AI/ML Instruction

Design and deliver high-impact, project-driven courses in AI/ML covering areas like Python for ML, Statistics, ML Algorithms, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, ML Ops, and Generative AI.

Foster deep conceptual understanding through real-world examples and case studies.

2. Drive Curriculum Innovation

Develop and continuously evolve the AI/ML curriculum to stay aligned with cutting-edge tools, techniques, and emerging industry trends.

Bring industry insights, best practices, and recent advancements into academic learning.

3. Mentor & Guide Learners

Supervise and mentor students on AI/ML projects — from ideation to deployment.

Provide regular technical feedback, code reviews, and guidance on applying ML techniques to solve real-world challenges.

4. Academic Leadership

Collaborate with other faculty and program leaders to enhance the academic experience.

Lead academic sessions, guest lectures, and workshops that bridge industry knowledge with classroom learning.

5. Research & Continuous Learning

Stay abreast of the latest research in AI/ML and integrate it into teaching and applied projects.

Encourage students to explore open-source contributions, research papers, and real-world problem-solving.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (PhD preferred).
• 4+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, AI/ML Engineer, or Research Scientist with proven experience in developing, training, and deploying machine learning models at scale.
• Demonstrated teaching, mentoring, or corporate training experience — ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Deep understanding of classical ML algorithms and Deep Learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers).
• Strong foundation in statistics, data processing, model evaluation, and optimization techniques.

Required Skills:

Technical Expertise :

• Advanced proficiency in Python and data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Strong experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and modern ML/DL pipelines.
• Solid understanding of SQL, data preprocessing, and feature engineering.
• Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices (Git, Docker, AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Applied knowledge in NLP, Computer Vision, and Generative AI/LLMs.

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Empathy, patience, and passion for teaching and mentoring.
• Strong collaboration and leadership mindset.

Good-to-Have:

• Prior experience in an academic or edtech environment teaching data science or AI/ML.
• Contributions to research, publications, or open-source AI/ML projects.
• Experience designing academic assessments, workshops, or capstone projects.
