Data Scientist Intern

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Data Scientist Intern to support our data and analytics team. The intern will work on real-world datasets to derive insights, build machine learning models, and support data-driven decision-making while gaining hands-on industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured datasets
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends and patterns
• Build and evaluate machine learning models for regression, classification, and clustering problems
• Assist in feature engineering and model optimization
• Visualize insights using charts and dashboards
• Document findings and present insights to the team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business use cases

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Python
• Understanding of Machine Learning concepts (Regression, Classification, Clustering)
• Hands-on experience with Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib / Seaborn
• Basic knowledge of Scikit-learn
• Understanding of statistics and data analysis
• Basic SQL knowledge

Good to Have (Added Advantage)

• Exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts
• Basics of Deep Learning / NLP
• Knowledge of Power BI / Tableau
• Familiarity with Git / GitHub
• Academic or personal ML / AI projects

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing graduation in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field.
