As a Data Scientist (m/f/d), you will develop impactful AI and machine learning solutions for our port and logistics processes. What you can expect:

• You develop AI and machine learning solutions for the future of port and logistics processes – from accurate predictions (e.g., arrival times, throughput times, maintenance) and optimization models to LLM-based applications using RAG or multi-agent setups
• You build models, design pipelines, ensure smooth integration into the lakehouse, and manage operations with modern MLOps methods
• You collaborate closely with Data Governance, IT Security (KRITIS), Enterprise Architecture, Cloud/Infrastructure teams, and BI to bring innovative solutions into the organization securely and sustainably
• You make results tangible with BI tools, define KPIs, and support colleagues through workshops and knowledge sharing
• Throughout, you keep data protection, compliance, and the AI Act in mind – ensuring our solutions are not only smart but also trustworthy

Your profile:

• Several years of experience in data science/machine learning – from modeling to production deployment
• Strong knowledge of Python and the common ML stack
• Hands-on experience with MLOps (MLflow, CI/CD, containers/Kubernetes) and cloud environments (ideally Azure)
• Initial practical experience with LLM applications (RAG, embeddings, prompting) or strong motivation to quickly build expertise in this field
• Ideally, experience in data governance and security (e.g., GDPR, AI Act)
• You communicate effectively and have excellent English skills
