Role Overview

The Data Scientist will design predictive models, analytical frameworks, forecasting systems, and decision-support engines that help CEOs and leadership teams understand their business, plan for the future, and make faster, more informed decisions.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional, client-facing role that works directly with strategy teams, AI teams, digital systems, PMO, and sales. The position is structured to be self-sustaining, meaning your work contributes directly to value creation, deal influence, and revenue expansion for IPDM.

Key Responsibilities

1. Predictive Modelling and Forecasting

• Build forecasting models for revenue, demand, churn, and customer behaviour.
• Create pricing, elasticity, and unit-economics models.
• Develop market sizing models (TAM/SAM/SOM) and economic simulations.

2. Research-Driven Statistical Analysis

• Convert Tier-A research from institutions such as Harvard, MIT, McKinsey, BCG, OECD, and IMF into practical business models.
• Build competitive, economic, and market scenario simulations.
• Apply statistical reasoning to real-world problems with clarity.

3. Decision Intelligence and AI-Integrated Modelling

• Collaborate with the AI Architect to build decision engines, opportunity scoring systems, risk maps, sensitivity models, and automated insight layers.
• Integrate analytical models inside AI systems, dashboards, and GPT agents.

4. Commercial and Revenue Impact

This is not a sales role, but your analytical work must support IPDM’s commercial engine.

You will:

• Join client and pre-sales meetings as the analytics expert.
• Build rapid models, insights, and point-of-views for proposals.
• Influence deal conversion by demonstrating clear analytical value.
• Support expansion of ongoing client engagements by identifying new analytical opportunities.

You will be eligible for commercial influence bonuses tied to your measurable contribution to deal wins and project expansions.

5. Prompt Engineering for Analytical Agents

• Create structured prompts for models embedded in GPT-based systems.
• Design multi-step reasoning prompts for analytics workflows.
• Build prompts aligned with retrieval systems used for research automation.

6. Data Preparation and Pipeline Support

(You are not expected to perform full-scale data engineering, but should be competent in basic data workflows.)

• Clean, structure, and transform raw data.
• Assist in simple ETL scripts and data validation processes.
• Prepare datasets for model deployment.

7. Client Interaction and Delivery Ownership

• Present analytical insights to senior leadership and CXOs.
• Build dashboards and automated reporting frameworks.
• Participate in quarterly business reviews and strategy workshops.
• Translate complex analysis into clear, practical recommendations.

8. Execution Governance Support

Work with the PMO/TMO team to:

• Develop KPI frameworks.
• Build measurement models.
• Track progress and refine strategies based on analytical insights.

Required Qualifications

Education (Preferred)

Candidates from top quantitative and analytical programs are preferred, including:

• IITs, NITs, BITS
• IISc, ISI
• Strong global universities
• Programs in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Econometrics, or Quantitative Finance

Exceptional candidates without these degrees but with strong portfolios will be considered.

Technical Skills

• Strong background in statistics, probability, and analytical modelling
• Proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, statsmodels)
• Experience with regression, classification, clustering, and time-series modelling
• Familiarity with LLM-assisted workflows and analytical GPT agents
• Ability to build effective visualizations using PowerBI, Tableau, or Python tools

Compensation

Fixed Salary: ₹20,00,000 – ₹34,00,000
Performance Bonus: ₹4,00,000 – ₹6,00,000
Commercial Influence Bonus: ₹1,00,000 – ₹3,00,000
Total CTC: ₹24,00,000 – ₹40,00,000

Signing Bonus: For exceptional candidates
ESOP Eligibility: After 18–24 months of proven performance
