Introduction

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is the academic department of the University to support wide range in-patient and outpatient women’s healthcare services pertinent to general obstetrics and gynaeoclogy, lactation consultancy, family planning and parenting education. In addition to the core services, department also caters to wide range of specialized services such as Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Urogyneoclogy and Pediatrics & Adolescent gynaeoclogy. The department also offers formal post graduate training programs of residency and fellowship in Maternal and Fetal Medicine, Urogynecology and Gynecologic Oncology.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for supporting data-driven decision making through healthcare analytics, reporting, dashboard development and operational insights to strengthen clinical, academic and administrative performance within the department. This role will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, financial and operational analysis, and support data management systems aligned with departmental priorities.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
collecting, cleaning and validating clinical, operational and financial data from multiple sources including Medical Records and finance systems
analyzing trends in key indicators including labor and delivery outcomes, C-section rates, maternal and neonatal outcomes, patient volumes and service utilization
conducting workflow and time-motion studies to identify process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
designing and maintaining dashboards and developing standardized reports, KPIs and performance metrics for departmental leadership
supporting clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
monitoring compliance with clinical protocols, quality indicators and patient safety standards
analyzing cost utilization, performance and revenue trends and supporting budgeting and resource optimization initiatives
collaborating with departmental and institutional stakeholders on data extraction, validation, automation and systems integration
supporting special analytical projects and other tasks assigned by the supervisor
