Position Overview

The BI Product QA Analyst will be responsible for testing, validating, and ensuring the

quality of Business Intelligence products, dashboards, and data pipelines. This role

involves developing automated and manual test strategies, verifying data accuracy,

validating business logic, and ensuring seamless integration across BI platforms. The

engineer will collaborate closely with BI developers, data engineers, business analysts, and

product managers to ensure deliverables meet functional, performance, and security

requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Design
• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts for BI solutions including

dashboards, reports, ETL processes, and data models.

• Identify functional, data integrity, performance, and regression testing needs.
• Define test data requirements and prepare datasets for validation.
• Test Execution & Automation
• Execute manual and automated test cases for BI components.
• Validate data accuracy between source systems, staging, and BI reports.
• Perform UI testing for dashboards and visualizations to ensure accuracy and

usability.

• Implement and maintain test automation frameworks for BI and ETL testing.
• Defect Management
• Log, track, and verify defect resolutions using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira,

Azure DevOps).

• Work with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve data or UI

discrepancies.

• Performance & Security Testing
• Conduct load and stress testing for BI reports and dashboards.
• Validate role-based access controls and data security compliance.
• Collaboration & Documentation
• Partner with BI developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to

clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Maintain test documentation, coverage reports, and quality metrics.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related

field.

• 3+ years of experience in QA/testing with a focus on BI, data analytics, or

data warehouse environments.

Required Skills

• Strong SQL skills for data validation and testing.
• Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker).
• Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, dbt).
• Knowledge of data warehouse concepts (star schema, fact/dimension tables,

OLAP).

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and QA processes.
• At least 6 months of experience in any Product testing

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud BI environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Python-based frameworks,

QuerySurge).

• Knowledge of data governance and compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2).
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and Agile methodologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
