About Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Validation Quality Analyst to join our Cloud Data Modernization project team. This role involves migrating an on-premises Enterprise Data Warehouse (SQLServer) to a target cloud tech stack utilizing Azure Cloud data tools (ADF, SHIR, Logic Apps, ADLS Gen2, Blob Storage, etc.) and Snowflake. The primary responsibility is to ensure data consistency and integrity between the on-premises and cloud environments through rigorous data validation testing.

What You'll Do:

Perform data validation testing to ensure data consistency between on-premises SQL Server and cloud-based Azure and Snowflake environments.

Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to validate all data within the data warehouse.

Leverage appropriate test automation tools to automate data validation processes, minimizing manual checks and file comparisons.

Collaborate with data engineers, cloud architects, and other stakeholders to understand data migration requirements and ensure accurate data validation.

Identify, document, and address data discrepancies and validation issues promptly.

Maintain detailed documentation of testing processes, results, and corrective actions.

Continuously improve testing methodologies and tools to enhance data validation efficiency and accuracy.

Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies during the validation process.
Expertise You'll Bring:

Minimum of 2 years prior experience in data validation and quality assurance on data warehouse projects.

Proven experience in data validation and quality assurance, particularly in data migration projects.

Strong knowledge of SQLServer, Azure Cloud data tools (ADF, SHIR, Logic Apps, ADLS Gen2, Blob Storage), and Snowflake.

Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data inconsistencies.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
