Data Warehouse Developer

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Data Warehouse Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable and robust data infrastructure for the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, database architecture, ETL processes, and performance optimization techniques. This role requires close collaboration with business, analytics, and BI teams to ensure efficient data storage, transformation, and availability for reporting and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

· Design and implement data warehouse schemas, including star and snowflake models.

· Develop, optimize, and maintain database tables, views, indexes, and related objects for performance and scalability.

· Build and manage ETL pipelines to ingest, clean, transform, and load data from multiple internal and external sources.

· Work closely with business and analytics teams to define data structures, data requirements, and storage strategies.

· Manage end-to-end data integration, transformation, and loading processes across various systems and environments.

· Develop and maintain scripts, workflows, or scheduled jobs to automate data ingestion and processing tasks.

· Ensure data integrity , accuracy, and consistency in staging, warehouse, and production environments.

· Monitor and tune database performance, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and workload management.

· Implement and maintain data security measures, access control policies, and backup/recovery procedures.

· Collaborate with BI developers to support efficient reporting, modeling, and analytics.

· Document data models, data flows, architecture designs, and implementation decisions for ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  
• 3–5 years of experience in data warehouse or database development.
  
• Strong knowledge of data warehouse concepts including ETL, OLAP, dimensional modeling, and normalization/denormalization.
  
• Expertise in SQL and experience with one or more major RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
  
• Proficiency in schema design, table structuring, indexing, and query performance optimization.
  
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Airflow , SSIS , or similar platforms.
  
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS Redshift or Google Big Query is a plus.
  
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
