Data warehouse validation and automation Testing

The candidate should be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our data warehouse applications. This role requires a professional with sound knowledge of Oracle and Unix environments, capable of coordinating closely with various technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions. A strong understanding of data warehouse testing methodologies is crucial for validating applications and enhancing validation automation through scripting tools. Experience with Python and Selenium for automation is considered a significant advantage.
Responsibilities
Utilize in-depth data warehouse testing knowledge to validate applications and enhance validation automation using scripting tools.
Collaborate with partner systems to conduct near-partner and End-to-End (E2E) validations.
Create and develop test scenarios for requirements originating from partner systems.
Log defects in designated defect tracking tools and manage test cases in respective test management tools, with a focus on automated execution.
Demonstrate experience in using, designing, or contributing to a data comparison tool.
Perform thorough testing of ETL software, verifying the integrity and performance of data warehouse components.
Develop and execute test cases and test plans.
Write SQL queries for testing scenarios and to perform data integrity testing.
Conduct various types of testing, including but not limited to metadata testing, data transformation testing, and data quality testing.
Qualifications
4-7 years of relevant experience in data warehouse testing.
Strong domain knowledge and proven automation skills are an added advantage.
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Consistently exhibits clear and concise written and verbal communication.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
Proficiency in SQL is essential for querying databases and checking data.
Experience with ETL tools such as Ab-Initio, Talend is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Python, Java, or Shell scripting for automation is beneficial.
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture
