Database Administrator

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or Computer Engineering. Master’s degree in CS, Business Administration or IT would be advantageous
• ITIL/PRINCE2 Foundation training or certification, or any vendor-specific RDBMS certification (e.g. OCA, OCP, MCITP, MCTS) would be advantageous
• At least 6 months of experience in similar role
• Experience in programming on Java/Python is preferred
• Knowledge of Oracle E-business applications, as well as MongoDB/Redis/MySQL administration and development
• Experience on Oracle Data Guard and RAC implementation would be advantageous
• Experience on disaster recovery site implementation

Key Responsibilities (Functional Competencies):

• Manage database administration on MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server Database
• Manage hands-on performance tuning / queries optimization
• Ensure diagnostic and troubleshooting on RDBMS
• Conduct basic diagnostic and troubleshooting on OS level
• Manage basic SQL queries
• Manage backup and recovery procedures
