Database Administrator

📌 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This role is responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our diverse database landscape, including MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle systems. The ideal candidate will architect, design, and manage our data warehouse, developing robust ETL/ELT pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics. You will engage with business and IT stakeholders to evaluate and implement strategic architectural recommendations, particularly within our supply chain ecosystem. This position requires a proactive individual capable of working independently to perform database tuning, implement security policies, manage backup and recovery procedures, and provide critical 24x7 support. Your expertise in scripting, cloud platforms, and data modeling will be essential for supporting our growing AI and machine learning initiatives.

🎯 𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:

▸ Expert knowledge in administering MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle PL/SQL databases (relational & NoSQL).

▸ Proven experience in designing, building, and managing data warehouses.

▸ Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.

▸ Proficiency in scripting with Python (Pandas, PySpark, Airflow) and Windows/UNIX shell scripting.

▸ Strong skills in database design, implementation, performance tuning, and security.

▸ Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

▸ Expertise in advanced data modeling techniques.

▸ Familiarity with big data technologies and modern architectures like data lakes and lakehouses.

✨ 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀:

▸ Familiarity with end-to-end supply chain and associated eco-systems.

▸ Knowledge of Java for enterprise applications.

▸ Experience preparing datasets and building models for machine learning processes.

▸ Ability to create reports or dashboards to provide actionable business insights.

▸ Understanding of APIs (REST, GraphQL) for data integration.
