Database Administrator

Ideal candidate for this role is a proactive and detail-oriented Database Administrator with experience in managing and maintaining enterprise database environments. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring database availability, performance, security, and reliability while supporting business applications and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain database platforms such as MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL across development, testing, and production environments.
• Manage and support databases hosted on AWS cloud environments and Red Hat Linux-based servers.
• Monitor database performance and perform performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning.
• Ensure database availability, backup, and recovery processes are properly implemented and maintained.
• Manage database security, user access, and compliance with organizational policies.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide L2/L3 support for application and infrastructure teams.
• Implement patches, upgrades, migrations, and database deployments when required.
• Monitor database health and proactively resolve potential issues.
• Maintain proper documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to ensure efficient database usage and deployment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator.
• Strong experience managing MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience working with Linux environments, preferably Red Hat.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure or cloud-based database deployments.
• Experience with database backup, recovery, replication, and high availability solutions.
• Knowledge of database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Understanding of database security, monitoring tools, and automation.
