Job Description
We are looking for a Database Analyst to implement and maintain data architecture solutions supporting research and enforcement initiatives. This position will be full-time contract and hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).
What You’ll Do
Develop ETL routines within the silver layer of the research data lake
Collaborate with research scientists to align business use cases in the gold layer
Ensure data hygiene across all layers and document data flows
Integrate new data sources and maintain transparency in data transformations
Support business compliance tools and strategic enforcement initiatives
Create pipelines for tracking wage theft violations and WALL implementation
Implement validation protocols for data accuracy
Develop predictive models and BI tools
Standardize data flows and enforce data quality controls
What You'll Need
Required:
5+ years of experience with SQL and relational DBMS
Strong experience in ETL and data warehousing
Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation
Experience with AWS database ecosystem (Glue, Lambda, S3, Athena, Redshift)
Working knowledge of BI tools and dashboard creation
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong documentation and collaboration skills
Experience with data dictionary systems and electronic data processing platforms
Preferred:
PostgreSQL and AWS QuickSight experience
Experience in government or regulatory environments
Familiarity with Git and vendor-built database solutions
Experience building or improving data pipelines
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
The pay range for this position is $66 - $76 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave as provided by applicable law.
