Responsibilities:
- Setup and Maintain Database Deployment Pipeline.
- Design and Document Logical and Physical Database Models to cater to a variety of business Requirements.
- Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization and Analyzing Common Performance Issue patterns which involves Application Design, I/O Patterns, Concurrency, Memory, TempDB and CPU, etc.
- Critical thinking to design solutions to accommodate current business needs with extensibility, scalability to accommodate future needs.
- Automate maintenance and monitoring tasks through various technologies.
- Experience with working in an Agile/SCRUM model.
- Should be able to use query plans to analyze queries and improve query performance.
- Work with other developers to produce optimal database solutions that cater to the application requirements.
- Work with application developers to design, develop, and debug queries and stored procedures.
- Exposure to Microservices design patterns is desirable.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Familiarity with K-12 data warehousing and analytics is preferred.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Background check required.
- This is a Hybrid position in San Antonio, TX. Team members are required to be in-office at least once per week.

- Expert level knowledge in writing T-SQL statements and optimizing for large scale databases.

- Design and develop optimal database solutions that cater to the variety of application and business requirements.
- Deploy and update databases in production environments using database deployment tools.
- Critical thinking to design solutions to accommodate current business needs with extensibility and scalability to accommodate future needs.
- Automate maintenance and monitoring tasks through various technologies.
- Proficiency in using AI tools to deliver efficiency and productivity.
- Working in an Agile/SCRUM model.
- 3-5 years of experience in design, development, and maintenance of large-scale database projects is preferred.
