About the Job
Design, implement, and optimize database structures, schemas, and stored procedures.
Write efficient SQL queries, functions, and scripts for data manipulation and reporting.
Ensure database performance, scalability, and security.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database-related issues.
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather data requirements.
Develop ETL processes for data integration across multiple systems.
Perform regular database maintenance, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
Document database designs, standards, and operational procedures.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as a Database Developer or similar role.
Strong expertise in SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server).
Knowledge of database design, normalization, and indexing techniques.
Familiarity with ETL tools, data warehousing, and BI reporting.
Hands-on experience with stored procedures, triggers, and query optimization.
Understanding of database security best practices.
Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP).
Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.).
Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
