Role Overview

The Database Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining databases that support enterprise applications and business processes. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize relational and non-relational databases.
• Write complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers to support applications.
• Collaborate with developers and analysts to integrate databases with systems.
• Ensure database performance, scalability, and security.
• Conduct data modeling and schema design for new projects.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database issues in production environments.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Stay updated on emerging database technologies and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in database development and administration.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL).
• Knowledge of database security, indexing, and optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
