Northrop Grumman is seeking a Database Engineer (DBE) in support of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. NASIC is responsible for creating all-source intelligence defining the present and future air, air defense, cyber, space and ballistic missile threats to enable military operations, force modernization, and policy making. This DBE will be an active part of a team of Database Engineers/Administrators who will share in the administration of Neo4j, Oracle, MariaDB/MySQL, MongoDB, etc. This candidate will take lead on Neo4j / Graph Database Engineering activities and provide general support for the other databases. This environment includes ever growing opportunities with modernization such as Cloud technologies and DevOps CI/CD pipelines. Development of containerization and Kubernetes skillsets will be critical as the NASIC Database architecture continues its Digital Transformation efforts. This candidate will be planned to support a production environment on site at NASIC/WPAFB once properly cleared to support mission critical needs.
Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent with 6 Years relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with 2 Years related experience

Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline with 0 Year related experience

U.S. citizenship with an active TS/SCI security clearance
-
Minimum of two years of experience with Database Engineering / Administration
-
Experience with Oracle, MariaDB/MySQL, or MongoDB Database administration
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Neo4j or other graph database administration experience
-
Experience with DevOps architecture such as Kubernetes, Nexus, Harbor, Docker, GitLab, etc.

Experience with Apache, NGINX, or JBoss Server administration
-
Experience with scripting using tools such as Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell, etc.

Candidate must demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Active CompTIA CASP+ or Security+ certification
Primary Level Salary Range: $81,300.00 - $121,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
