Role Summary

ChaiVision is building a centralized data and reporting function to replace fragmented, single-point-of-failure reporting processes across the organization. The Dataself Reports Developer will be at the heart of this transformation — owning the design, development, and maintenance of operational and analytical reports within the Dataself platform that power decision-making across Logistics, Finance, Operations, and executive leadership.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives on turning raw data into clear, reliable, and actionable reports. You will work closely with the Director of Data & Business Intelligence and cross-functional stakeholders to build a reporting layer that the entire organization can trust — replacing ad-hoc spreadsheets and isolated dashboards with a governed, scalable reporting infrastructure.

What You'll Do

Dataself Report Development & Maintenance

• Design, build, and maintain operational and analytical reports within the Dataself platform to serve Finance, Logistics, Operations, and executive leadership
• Translate business requirements into well-structured Dataself reports with clear KPIs, filters, and drill-down capabilities
• Ensure all reports follow established data governance standards including source-of-truth definitions, data ownership, and naming conventions
• Continuously optimize existing reports for performance, accuracy, and usability based on stakeholder feedback

Data Integration & Pipeline Support

• Work with data flowing from SellerCloud, Sage Intacct, and Omnify into the Dataself reporting environment
• Collaborate with the Integrations team to ensure data pipeline reliability and freshness for all Dataself-connected sources
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies and resolve reporting anomalies by tracing issues back to source systems
• Support the migration of legacy spreadsheet-based reports into the Dataself platform

Cross-Functional Reporting & Stakeholder Support

• Partner with Finance to build P&L, cost analysis, and margin reports that leadership relies on for strategic decisions
• Support Logistics with inventory, supply chain, and fulfillment performance dashboards
• Deliver executive-level KPI dashboards and reporting suites on an agreed refresh cadence
• Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests with accurate, timely deliverables while maintaining documentation of all custom reports

Data Quality & Governance

• Monitor daily data pipeline health and Dataself report freshness, escalating anomalies proactively
• Contribute to building and maintaining the data governance framework including report standards, access controls, and change management processes
• Maintain a comprehensive report catalog documenting all active Dataself reports, their owners, data sources, and refresh schedules
• Participate in monthly data quality audits and stakeholder reporting health checks

Who You Are

• You have 3+ years of hands-on experience building reports and dashboards using BI or reporting platforms — ideally Dataself, but strong experience with similar tools (Power BI, Tableau, SSRS) is valued
• You are proficient in SQL and comfortable writing queries to extract, transform, and validate data from relational databases
• You understand e-commerce and supply chain data structures — orders, inventory, fulfillment, and channel performance are concepts you work with naturally
• You care deeply about data accuracy and governance — you don't just build reports, you make sure the numbers are right and the definitions are clear
• You communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders and can translate business questions into well-structured reports
• You are a self-starter who takes ownership of your work and proactively identifies reporting gaps or improvement opportunities
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can balance multiple reporting requests while maintaining quality and timelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in report development using BI/reporting platforms (Dataself, Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, or equivalent)
• Strong SQL skills with experience querying data warehouses or transactional databases
• Experience working with ERP or e-commerce data sources (SellerCloud, Sage Intacct, or similar platforms is a plus)
• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, KPI frameworks, and report design best practices
• Excellent attention to detail and a track record of delivering accurate, reliable reports
