Day Porter

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness, order, and appearance of the facility during regular business hours. This role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors by performing routine cleaning, restocking supplies, and responding to immediate needs throughout the day.

Maintains cleanliness of common areas, lobbies, hallways, restrooms, break rooms, and offices during operating hours.
Performs continuous spot cleaning (spills, smudges, trash removal, etc.)
Cleans and restocks restrooms/janitors’ closets.
Empties trash and recycling receptacles, as needed.
Cleans glass surfaces, doors, and high-touch areas.
Sets up and breaks down rooms for meetings or events, as required.
Monitors building conditions and reports maintenance or safety issues.
Follows all safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
Interacts professionally with building occupants and visitors.
Conducts regular inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and consumables.
Receives, organizes, and delivers supplies and equipment to designated areas or sites.
Operates an agency vehicle safely to transport supplies, equipment, or materials as required.
Ensures exterior grounds, entrances, sidewalks, and parking areas are clear of rubbish, debris, leaves, and snow to maintain safety and appearance
Carries out additional tasks as assigned

Previous janitorial or custodial experience a plus.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.

A valid drivers licenses and have a clean driving record.

Must submit to a background check, including BCI and FBI criminal records, Federal and State Sex Offender Registries and the Statewide automated Child Welfare Information Systems and be eligible for employment as required by ODJFS
