Lead Teacher

Job description

We are looking for an experienced, educated, and joyful individual to lead in the classroom. Creating a safe and nurturing environment through positive reinforcement, the ideal individual will bring a deep love for nurturing children as they develop and explore their world. Working with a center-provided curriculum, this individual will be trusted to bring the learning to life through opportunities for all the different learning styles.

Job Expectations

• Create an environment that encourages social and emotional growth.
• Maintain state-mandated ratios at all times.
• Implement lesson plans according to curriculum, state, and church guidelines.
• Use positive redirection when assisting with behaviors.
• Serve meals to children, paying attention to eating habits.
• Follow potty-training guidelines.
• Communicate with childcare team and parents through Brightwheel

Job Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have previous experience in a childcare setting.
• Must be able to work Monday through Friday.
• Must be able to obtain required training and documentation for employment.
• Must be able to pass state-mandated background checks.
• Must be able to lift to 35lbs or more.

• Associate (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Child Development Associate Certification, or desire to work toward one (Preferred)

• day school teaching: 1 year (Required)
• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
