Job Summary

Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote dignity and independence
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
- Support medication administration following prescribed protocols and document accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to enhance mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition according to individual dietary needs
- Utilize transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to support mobility and prevent injury
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident areas and assisting with laundry
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and memory care techniques to support residents with cognitive challenges
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring personalized support
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic first aid procedures
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively through compassionate care and behavior management strategies
- Long-term care experience or working within a personal care home or group home environment is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties if required for community outings or appointments
