Day Shift Caregiver (Part-Time)

Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote dignity and independence
• Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability
• Support medication administration following prescribed protocols and document accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to enhance mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition according to individual dietary needs
• Utilize transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to support mobility and prevent injury
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident areas and assisting with laundry

Experience

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and memory care techniques to support residents with cognitive challenges
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring personalized support
• Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic first aid procedures
• Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively through compassionate care and behavior management strategies
• Long-term care experience or working within a personal care home or group home environment is advantageous
• Valid driver’s license for transportation duties if required for community outings or appointments
