Daycare assistant

Job Description:

Brooklyn Global Prep is looking for Spanish, French or Mandarin speaking teachers for either our preschool or infant/toddler program.

The successful candidate will:

• Work with the other teachers in a fun and engaging way using a variety of hands-on approaches to learning,
• Expose children to a wide variety of educational opportunities that encourage self-expression, communication, logical thinking, and problem-solving,
• Care for young children and make sure they are safe, clean, and monitored at all times,
• Ensure city and state compliance at all times,
• Additional duties as needed for this role.

Position Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience in a preschool or with young children,
• Fluent Spanish, French or Mandarin Chinese speaker,
• Have experience caring for young children.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of position which include lifting children, year-round daily physical activities, and more,
• Ability to play an instrument preferred but not required,
• NYS Birth - 2 Certification, Child development associate (CDA) , degree in early childhood education (ECE) or enrolled in school preferred but not required,
• Certifications in CPR, First Aid and Mental Health are preferred but not required.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
