Childcare Assistant Position

Job Description:

Alpena Childcare & Development Center is currently looking for a qualified individual to fill an assistant caregiver position. The Assistant will work with a lead teacher to plan and implement activities and to supervise children.

Hours Worked: 35-40 hours per week. No nights, weekends or holidays.

Job duties:

· Provide a safe environment for children.

· Maintain an open, friendly and cooperative relationship with children and families.

· Plan and lead organized games and other age appropriate activities.

· Interact and relate with children and serve as a positive role model.

· Assist with daily set-up and clean up. Including mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, sanitizing, etc.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License
• CPR/First aid (within one month of hire)
• Pass background check
• 18 years or older

· Experience working with children preferred

· Outgoing and energetic

· Physically able to care for the needs of children (lifting, bending, etc)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
