We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team! In this vital role, you will support the daily care and development of young children in a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment. Duties

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote childhood development, social skills, and early learning concepts
  • Provide attentive care for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and 2 year old children.
  • Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment conducive to learning and play
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, story time, and outdoor play,
  • Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow health and safety protocols diligently
  • Assist with meal times, diapering, nap routines, and other caregiving responsibilities as needed

Skills

  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is highly valued
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
  • Certification or training in first aid and CPR to ensure safety at all times
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special educational needs is a plus
  • Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment
  • Ability to engage children through creative activities like arts & crafts, storytelling, and interactive play
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and families
  • Compassionate caregiving attitude with patience and understanding for children’s individual needs
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations within a dynamic childcare setting

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
