Daycare Assistant

Job Overview

In this role, you will support the daycare by assisting the caregiver in activities, managing routines, meal preparstion and ensuring each child's well-being. Your positive energy and proactive approach will contribute to a joyful & safe atmosphere that encourages curiosity and growth.

Duties

• Support daycare activities by preparing materials, setting up learning stations, and assisting with daily routines such as snack time, naps, and playtime
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
• Assist the caregiver in implementing age-appropriate activities focused on childhood development, social skills, and early learning concepts
• Help with diapering, feeding, and personal hygiene needs for infants and toddlers in accordance with health guidelines

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, nannying or babysitting roles is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required or obtainable upon hire to ensure child safety in emergencies
• Soft skills such as patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities.
• Able to take care of children on your own.
• Ability to prepare meals, clean dishes & meal area
• Organize and clean toys regularly.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or routines as needed

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
