Responsibilities
- Assist with supervising children in daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Support classroom management by helping organize activities, materials, and learning stations
- Engage children in age-appropriate play, educational activities, and social interactions to promote development
- Follow established health and safety procedures, including basic first aid when necessary
- Collaborate with lead teachers to implement curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support individual needs and developmental progress
Skills
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings
- Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and positive reinforcement techniques
- First aid certification and familiarity with basic emergency response procedures
- Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Classroom experience involving toddler care, infant care, or caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is highly valued
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a lively, energetic approach to daily routines
