Job Summary
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Daycare Assistant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for young children. In this role, you will support lead teachers in delivering engaging educational activities, ensuring the well-being of children from infants to preschoolers, and fostering their social, emotional, and developmental growth. Your positive energy and proactive approach will contribute to a joyful learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity and confidence.

Duties

  • Assist in implementing daily lesson plans that promote early childhood development and classroom engagement
  • Support children with their activities, including playtime, arts and crafts, storytime, and learning exercises
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children by supervising their activities closely and maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment
  • Help with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine care needs for infants and toddlers
  • Support behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions among children
  • Collaborate with lead teachers to monitor developmental milestones and communicate observations to parents or guardians
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and assist with classroom setup and cleanup to ensure a welcoming space for all children

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage positively with children and their families
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods; physical stamina to support active play and caregiving tasks
  • Passion for working with children and commitment to creating an inclusive, nurturing atmosphere

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
  • Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a caring environment

Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
