Assistant Young Toddler Teacher 2+ Yrs EXP REQ

TLC Child Care Center is a great place to work, and our staff's longevity shows it! We are a STAR 4-accredited, non-profit center with over 40 years of committed service to our community. We have seven classrooms that serve children from 6 weeks up to 5 years.

We are looking for a well-qualified, experienced Aide/Assistant Teacher for our Onesie classroom (ages 15 months - 2 Years). Candidates should be willing to work later hours. (8:15am-5:15pm) All candidates must have or be willing to obtain all PA clearances required to work with children - State Police, Child Abuse, FBI Fingerprinting, and NSOR. Valid First Aid and CPR training is a plus.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year experience working in an young toddler classroom. They will be familiar with the Keystone STARs program and all state requirements for caring for young toddler. Assistant Teacher responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Helping to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum. (Frog Street)
• Assisting with maintaining accurate assessments of each child.
• Building strong relationships with families.
• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment for all children.
• Ensuring a well run, purposeful program that is responsive to participant needs.
• Supporting social and emotional development and providing positive guidance.
• Establishing positive and productive relationships with coworkers.
• Maintaining a commitment to professionalism.
• Engaging in respectful use and care of space and school equipment.
• Participating in recommended training programs, conferences, and other aspects of professional development.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
