Daycare Assistant Teacher

Job Title: Preschool Toddler Room Assistant Teacher (Ages 18 months-3 yrs) Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Start Date: Immediate Opening

Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable, nurturing, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our preschool toddler classroom. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with young children ages 2–5 and will support the lead teacher in creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and routines
• Help create and maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth
• Supervise children during play, meals, rest time, and transitions
• Encourage positive behavior and model kindness and respect
• Work collaboratively with staff as part of a team
• Communicate effectively with teachers and administration

Qualifications:

• Must have a love for working with children ages 2–5
• Patient, kind, and nurturing demeanor
• Punctual, dependable, and responsible
• Strong ability to work as part of a team
• Prior childcare experience preferred (but not required)

Requirements:

• All candidates are subject to a full background check, including fingerprinting
• Must complete a physical examination
• Negative TB test required prior to employment

Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
