Responsibilities

• Prepare kids meals in accordance with CACFP dietary guidelines and nutritional standards
• Ensure all food handling and preparation practices meet strict safety and sanitation regulations
• Assist with food inventory management
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and cooking equipment to uphold hygiene standards
• Follow all food safety protocols during meal preparation, serving, and clean-up processes

Requirements

• Experience working in dietary departments, catering, or food service environments—preferably with children or in early childhood settings
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Proven skills in menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking techniques suitable for young children
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment, knife skills, and food industry standards for sanitation
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure smooth meal service
• Prior dietary aide or culinary experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is a plus
