Daycare Floater

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Daycare professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. This role involves caring for children of various ages, facilitating their development through play and structured activities, and ensuring their well-being throughout the day. This position requires flexibility to float between multiple locations as needed between Freeport and Falmouth.

Duties

• We are looking for a nurturing and energetic presence to step into our joyful and silly classrooms. With lots of opportunities for outdoor time, lots of space, and a pleasant staff, this is a great position for any childcare professional with a passion for early childhood development. Job duties include:

- Caring children of various ages (with an assistant or co-teacher) throughout the day (diapering, napping, serving meals, carrying out the daily schedule and curriculum etc.)

- Nurturing and supporting children through songs, books, toys, cuddles, play etc.

-Organizing and cleaning the classroom throughout the day.

-Communicating with other staff members and the director.

-Communicating with families.

This individual should have knowledge of early childhood education but does not need a degree. If they are interested in a degree, DaVinci fully supports and in some situations helps pay for this continuing education.

Ideally, we are looking for a full-time floater Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30 but can be flexible.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Experience

• Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies is essential.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
