Daycare Lead Teacher

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily classroom activities, maintaining a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for toddlers and preschoolers.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that supports literacy, math, physical development, and Montessori-inspired learning.
• Plan engaging lessons that promote curiosity, social-emotional development, and positive behavior.
• Observe and assess children’s progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child’s development and classroom experiences.
• Supervise assistant teachers and staff, providing guidance on classroom management and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements, as well as health and safety regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in early childhood education or a daycare setting is required.
• Experience in preschool or private school environments is highly preferred.
• Strong skills in curriculum development across literacy, math, physical education, and early learning methods.
• Ability to effectively manage classroom behavior while maintaining a nurturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills when working with children, parents, and staff.
• Knowledge of early childhood development and early intervention strategies.
• Experience working with toddlers and preschool-aged children is preferred.
• Familiarity with lesson planning and classroom management techniques that support active learning.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
