About the role

The Day Care Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, caring, and stimulating
environment for young children. The role focuses on supporting the children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities, play-based learning, and positive interactions. The Day Care Teacher ensures that every child feels valued, secure, and confident within the school’s multicultural community..
What you will be doing
  • Supervise and engage children in daily routines and structured play activities.
  • Support each child’s physical, emotional, and social well-being through nurturing care.
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote curiosity, creativity, and early learning.
  • Observe, assess, and document children’s growth and progress.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Follow the early years curriculum framework set by the school (e.g., EYFS, IB PYP Early Years, or Reggio Emilia approach).
  • Integrate storytelling, music, art, and sensory play into daily lessons.
  • Encourage language development and early numeracy through interactive learning.
  • Adapt activities to suit the needs of individual children and diverse learning styles.
  • Always ensure the safety and security of all children.
  • Follow proper hygiene, nutrition, and first-aid practices.
  • Monitor children’s health and report any concerns or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain compliance with the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and guardians.
  • Provide regular feedback on children’s daily routines, behavior, and developmental milestones.
  • Participate in parent-teacher meetings, open houses, and school events.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, assistants, and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development workshops.
  • Uphold the school’s mission, vision, and values in all interactions.

Who we are looking for



Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of experience working with young children, preferably in an international or multicultural setting.
  • Skills:
o Warm, patient, and empathetic approach to children
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills
o Creativity in designing engaging learning experiences
o Understanding of early childhood development stages
o Proficiency in spoken and written English (additional languages a plus)
